Poetry, Whatever

Confidence lasts for about a day.

It’s difficult to imagine things working out when you realize that the bread on the table is soon to run out. When you have responsibilities from work, and your day to day business keeps you from sleeping.

So what, I had fun writing fan fiction… long ago. What good is that? You can’t make money playing with other people’s universes, and no one cares about your own.

The heart contracts and the eyes look at one’s feet, and we put away the pen and think of resumes again.

Why did you waste so much time on this? Be sensible for a change. Money doesn’t grow on trees.

Haiku of the day:

A wintery breeze

covers the flowers with frost

Freezing out all hope.
